Experimental study on tensile properties of TPU conduits

Abstract: Using thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) as raw material, TPU conduits were obtained
through extrusion molding process. The effects of tube structure, die core size, raw materials, and process
parameters on the tensile resistance of TPU conduits were studied. The experimental results show that the main
pipe material is 1195A, the reinforcing rib material is TT-1055D, the die size is 2.8 mm, and the core rod size is
1.7 mm; The first zone temperature of the 25 # extruder is 195 ℃ , the second zone temperature is 200 ℃ , the
third zone temperature is 207 ℃ , the flange temperature is 203 ℃ , the 25 # connector temperature is 195 ℃ ,
the first zone temperature of the 20 # extruder is 200 ℃ , the second zone temperature is 210 ℃ , the third zone
temperature is 215 ℃ , the flange temperature is 200 ℃ , the 20 # connector temperature is 195 ℃ , the front
mold temperature is 195 ℃, the rear mold temperature is 200 ℃ , and the mouth mold temperature is 195 ℃; The speed
of the 25 # extruder is 8.5 r/min, and the speed of the 20 # extruder is 8.5 r/min. It can achieve a breaking
force of 40 N for TPU conduits with an outer diameter of 1.0 mm, improving product quality and reducing the
risk of pipe breakage.
