Current market status and research progress of electronic grade
polyimide films

Abstract: Electronic grade polyimide film (PI film), as an important flexible insulating polymer material,
is widely used in the fields of flexible printed circuit boards, flexible display and 5G communication heat
conduction film. Various high-performance electronic grade polyimide films have broad market prospects.
In recent years, they have received extensive attention from researchers and companies. This article reviews
the market status and research progress of PI membranes in different electronic application fields, points out
the technical challenges of various types of PI membranes, and outlines their solutions. This paper provide
suggestions for the future development of electronic grade PI films,which is still a significant gap from industrial
production,
