Design of microstrip antenna for tire pressure monitoring system based

Abstract: This article describes the design of the RF reader used in the tire pressure monitoring system,
Its main purpose is to monitor the pressure of the car tire in real time. In case of abnormal tire pressure,
alarm prompt shall be given in time to improve safety factor and prevent tire blowout. HFSS-High Frequency
Structure Simulator is the main software used in the design of antenna in this paper. It is a three-dimensional
structure electromagnetic simulation software developed by Ansoft. HFSS provides a simple and intuitive
design window, which is similar to the friendly interface of Windows. It can calculate S11 parameters and full
wave electromagnetic field of any shape. HFSS has a powerful processor, which can calculate all kinds of
antenna parameters, such as gain, directivity, far-field pattern profile, 3D pattern and 3dB broadband. There
are many versions of FSS, the latest one is Ansoft HFSS 15.0, but the most popular one is Ansoft HFSS 13.0. In this
paper, the design method of microstrip antenna is adopted, which makes the antenna of the reader as small
as possible without changing the working frequency, so that the reader can be placed in the cab without
taking up too much space, so as to meet the comfort and beauty of the car owners.
