Research on the application of double-head electronic irradiation
pre-curing technology on cord fabric calender machine

Abstract: This paper describes the development of an on-line double-head electronic irradiation project
for fiber cord fabric calendering. It is the first time to adopt the form of double-head pre-curing irradiation of
cord fabric on high-speed calender, and realize the production of double-head cord fabric pre-curing by
automatically controlling the dosage according to the change of calender speed. The thickness of the inner
liner is reduced accordingly by the cord fabric pre-curing, and the overall weight of the tire is controlled,
which ultimately achieves the cost control, reduces the rubber migration of the carcass cord fabric, and
improves the quality of the product.
