polyethylene addition on the basic properties of seawater-resistant rubber was studied. The change law of
elongation at break of modified bearing rubber with aging time at different temperatures and seawater
was studied by accelerated aging experiments. Through experiments, the mathematical relationship model
of elongation at break and time was obtained, and the service life of the rubber was predicted through
the model. The research results show that the ozone resistance, compression set performance and low
temperature resistance of the rubber bearing are increased by the combination of natural rubber and
chlorosulfonated polyethylene. With the increase of seawater immersion time, the change rate of modified
rubber showed an increasing trend. The elongation at break shows an exponential relationship with aging
time at different temperatures and seawater. The service life of the modified rubber in air and sea water is
about 54 and 48 years, respectively, and the service life is 8 years and 5 years higher than that of ordinary
bearing rubber, respectively.
