Research status of composite material forming technology

Abstract: Composite materials have the characteristics of low density, light weight, high specific strength
and specific stiffness, and good fatigue resistance, so they are widely used in aerospace, automotive and
manufacturing industries. This article provides an overview of common molding technologies for resin matrix
composites, including autoclave molding, vacuum-assisted molding, RTM molding, and compression molding.
Combined with the development status of resin matrix composites, this paper studies the future development
trend of resin matrix composites.
