Abstract: The mechanical properties, barrier properties, morphological structure and rheological
properties of nylon 6/polyvinyl alcohol binary blends are studied. The results show that nylon 6/polyvinyl
alcohol barrier material is a pseudoplastic fluid, showing shear thinning. With the increase of polyvinyl alcohol
content, the impact strength of nylon 6/polyvinyl alcohol barrier material increases first and then decreases.
When the content of polyvinyl alcohol is 5%, the impact strength is the strongest, and the impact strength is
the weakest when the content of polyvinyl alcohol is 20%. Tensile strength shows an overall upward trend,
elongation at break shows an overall downward trend, oil absorption rate decreases significantly, and barrier
performance improves significantly. A small amount of polyvinyl alcohol can improve the compatibility of
nylon 6/polyvinyl alcohol, and excessive polyvinyl alcohol can lead to the decline of the compatibility of
             nylon 6/polyvinyl alcohol barrier materials.
