Effect of different kinds of zinc oxide on the performance of
tire sidewall rubber

Abstract: A comparative analysis of the effects of zinc oxide and nano-zinc oxide on the sidewall
compound performance after being applied to the sidewall formula. Nano-zinc oxide has small particle
size and large specific surface area, and nano-zinc oxide has small size effect, interface effect and
tunneling effect, which can significantly increase the activation efficiency and have a large adsorption
effect on sulfenamide accelerators. The addition of nano-zinc oxide can retard the mobility of the rubber
macromolecular chain and reduce the reaction ability of the macromolecular chain with the vulcanization
system. The results show that the rubber hardness, Mooney viscosity, scorch T 5 , rheological data T 90 , etc. have
all improved, and the tensile stress, tensile strength, and carbon black dispersion have also improved. The
overall performance of the rubber was improved, and the flexing and cracking data of the sidewall was
improved.

第三届中国国际进口博览会将于 11 月 5 日开幕。据报道，今年汽车展区不仅齐聚 7 大整车集团，还将带来
30 多款汽车相关新产品、新技术，其中 “ 轮胎大王 ” 米其林轮胎最新技术还未展出，已经引起广泛关注。

介绍，米其林今年是首次参展进博会，500 m 的展台将展示米其林对可持续未来的愿景，将带来不少全球首发、
亚洲首发以及中国首发 ：
全球首发的智能自修复方案，通过米其林 I-Sealent 技术采用实时监控和智能算法，帮助驾驶员监控轮胎状态，
应对由于轮胎穿孔导致的空气泄漏情况。
亚洲首发的 UPTIS 免充气防刺扎轮胎系统，该系统利用轮毂组件消除轮胎漏气和爆胎的风险，让驾驶者更
有安全感，也能让车队最大限度缩短故障时间，提高解决轮胎漏气和缺气的效率。计划最早于 2024 年广泛应用
于乘用车。
中国首发的氢能源电堆包 M，这种氢燃料电池模块利用空气和氢气产生电力，可用于轻型商用车、公交车、
重型卡车、船只和赛车等，实现零排放的同时，增强了车辆的轻便性。
第二代电动方程式赛车 Formula E 也将成为亮眼的展品，它采用米其林专为电动车竞速而独特设计的全天候
轮胎，更轻巧美观，滚动阻力也明显降低。
同期，本次展会将展出世界上最大的轮胎米其林矿业轮胎 MICHELIN XDR 3，其直径 4.03 m、重量为 5.525
t，单胎标称负载 100 t。巨型胎可以应用于大型露天矿山，配套使用米其林的智能矿山轮胎管理系统后，还可以
变得更加智慧。
