Development and application of tie bar retraction system in
super large injection molding machine PT6000

Abstract: Because of the space requirements and the concerns about the hidden danger of lifting
the mold of large injection molding machine, the requirements for the tie bar retraction function of super
large injection molding machine come into being. Based on the analysis of the state of the tie bar assembly
of the injection molding machine, it is concluded that the retraction force is related to the friction of the
contact surface under the positive pressure of the tie bar assembly, and has nothing to do with the size of the
contact surface. The friction coefficient is selected reasonably, in order to seek the theoretical basis of tie bar
retraction for the large injection molding machine.
