Abstract: In 2022, the downward pressure on the economic operation of the tire industry will continue to
increase due to the repeated domestic epidemics, the conflict between Russia-Ukraine conflict, the friction of
foreign trade and other factors. The domestic market has shrunk, industry efficiency has significantly declined,
factory inventory has increased, and operating rates have continued to decline. During the 13th Five Year
Plan period, the tire industry in Shandong Province accelerated the elimination of outdated production
capacity, promoting industrial transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development. Tire enterprises
conduct product development and design guided by market demand, constantly improve their core
competitiveness, actively promote the deep integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and
industry, accelerate the Digital transformation of the industry, and constantly enable the development of the
industry. The strategy of enterprises in the industry to go global is steadily advancing, and tire enterprises are
gradually shifting from product exports to integrated output of technology, capital, and service operations,
promoting the coordinated development of the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.In recent
years, tire companies in Shandong Province have also been continuously enhancing their brand influence,
promoting the transformation of old and new driving forces, and achieving dual improvements in both
quantity and quality in industry development, laying a solid foundation for the stable development of the
industry during the 14th Five Year Plan. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the "Construction Plan for a
Strong Manufacturing Province in Shandong Province during the 14th Five Year Plan" (hereinafter referred
to as the "Strong Province Plan") was issued, laying out the overall layout of the tire related industry chain in
Shandong Province.
